What makes us unique
Our Services
With mediation, you get to customize your agreement without the stress and expense of court. You’ll save time and money, without enduring the heavy emotional toll of a lengthy legal battle. Mediation allows you to focus on what’s important – finding a solution that works for both of you. It’s a more peaceful, cooperative way to settle your differences and move forward.
Let us handle the tough stuff. We manage every detail of your divorce professionally, from start to finish, so you don’t have to. Whether it’s navigating high net worth divorce complexities, ensuring fair property division, or negotiating spousal support, we’ve got your back. While we handle the legal side, including custody arrangements, retirement & asset distribution, you can focus on rebuilding your life and finding your new beginning.
When it comes to custody, we believe in making things simple and child-focused. We work with both parents to develop a custom parenting plan that reflects your family’s needs. Our goal is to create the right framework that supports your child's well-being and makes co-parenting smoother, so you can focus on being the best parent you can be.
Sometimes life gets messy, and you’re forced to turn to the courts for protection. Your safety is our priority, and we will advocate fiercely to ensure you have the protections you need. You can count on us to handle all the legal aspects while you focus on what matters most—your safety and well-being. Together, we’ll make sure you have the peace of mind you deserve during this challenging time.
We are honored to serve as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) which is a court-appointed advocate for a child during divorce or custody proceedings. Our role is to represent the child's best interests by gathering information about the child’s situation, including their wishes and feelings, and then presenting this to the court. Through this process, we ensure that your child's voice is heard and considered in the decision-making.
Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements are great tools for couples who want to protect their assets and set clear expectations, before or after getting married. A prenuptial agreement is done before you tie the knot and outlines how property, debts, and finances will be handled if the marriage doesn’t work out. A postnuptial agreement works the same way but is signed after you're already married. Both agreements can help take the guesswork out of what might happen in the future, giving you and your partner peace of mind.
Spousal Support
In Hawaii, spousal support, commonly referred to as alimony, is designed to provide financial assistance to a nonworking or lower-earning spouse following a divorce, recognizing that both partners contribute to the marriage in different ways. The courts in Hawaii consider several factors when determining spousal support, including the duration of the marriage, the financial resources of each spouse, the standard of living established during the marriage, the age and physical health of both spouses along with several other key factors. Importantly, Hawaii views the nonworking spouse as an equal partner in the marital estate, meaning that their contributions—whether financial or non-financial, such as homemaking and caregiving—are valued and acknowledged. This equitable approach ensures that both parties are fairly supported as they transition into their post-marital lives, helping to foster a sense of financial stability and fairness in the process.

Maria has a passion for getting to the heart of what matters most to her clients.
She specializes in family law, a specialty that feels more like a calling. Here, she enjoys the challenge and satisfaction of resolving complex family law cases, that may involve high net worth asset division and child custody disputes. As a business owner, real estate investor and law practitioner, Maria knows the hard work and sacrifice that comes with building businesses and growing assets and how important the preservation of those assets are throughout a divorce. Her creativity and relentless drive to find a path forward often results in out-of-the-box solutions that yield great outcomes for her clients. While Maria strives to find common ground, if attempts at settlement do not prevail, Maria is a tenacious courtroom advocate who embraces championing her client’s needs when the stakes are high. Maria’s strategic approach to case development ensures clients get results that make a real difference in their lives, while minimizing the emotional and financial toll of divorce.
Maria’s passion for helping families in transition arose from her own lived experience as a child of divorced parents and watching those close to her endure needlessly long, highly emotional and expensive divorces. She has a personal drive to make the process smoother and easier for others. She believes that by serving clients with integrity and passion, helping them get great outcomes in a collapsed timeframe, she not only positions her clients for their best future, but also allows her to serve more families in need. Maria is recognized not just by her skills as a lawyer, but by her compassion in knowing how to walk alongside those going through the discomfort of big life transitions. It is an honor for Maria to help clients find healing, resolution and hope, by fostering resilience, inspiring them to protect their children at all costs and envisioning brighter futures. Whether serving as a mediator, negotiator, litigator or child advocate, Maria ensures that her clients and their families are always in good hands.
